For those not familiar with the name of Producer/ M.C 'Chat One', he has spent the last ten years building a body of work that has finally put the Peterborough hip hop scene on the map, after receiving extensive airplay alongside Jeye Severe with the tracks 'Strange Fruit, Yes Blood, Money & many more.
Having also worked with artists ranging from Warner / Blacksmith Music artist Jean Grae to Skriblah DanGogh and Roots Manuva's Banana Klan Label, Baltimore's Senica aka da Misfit, he has well and truly paid his hip hop dues on both sides of the Atlantic.

Meanwhile DJ Slademan has already been busy in 2010, with Remus' The uprising, and Skriblah DanGogh's Retrospective mixtapes already under his belt. Slademan's production has also graced the albums and mixtapes of Phoenix Da Icefire, Jeye Severe's 'The Hierarchy', DJ Slademan presents Hip hop..don't stop-for Knowledge magazine etc, whilst he's been seen DJing at clubs/festivals like Cargo, Soultree, Grass Roots festival, Club Teeze, Liquid, The Park, Oceana & also has been very prolific on the university circuits around London, Cardiff, Nottingham & Leicester.

Dj Slademan & Chat One have known each other creatively for years & worked together in the past but this is by far the strongest track so far from their artillery.


3 Generations is partly a deeply personal look into the history of Chat One's family tree and their experiences, outlining the lasting effects which war can have on families, Loosely based around real events spanning over five decades and three generations, it is a tale of personal intrigue, war, revenge, pain and love that permeates through each passing generation of ancestors.

Chat One's honest, challenging and introspective lyrics are hauntingly scored by an epic production from DJ Slademan. Taking an unmistakably European set of samples and crafting them together, Slademan brings to life a brooding backdrop to this journey into a murky past.
